(Spencer)– A special early next month will honor several businesses in the region. Alyssa Petersen, Coordinator of Administration and Communication for the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation tells KUOO news they’ll be holding their annual Business Recognition Luncheon Friday, November 5th from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at the Waterfront in Arnolds Park…
“We recognize the businesses in our communities and really showcase some of the big things that have happened over the last year. We do have a series of a few awards. Our Large Business of the Year; Small Business of the Year; Entrepreneur of the Year and Young Professional of the Year. So we will be presenting those awards at the banquet as well as recognizing some board members that have gone off our board this year.”
Petersen says the keynote speaker this year will be Debbi Durham…
“And she is the director of the Iowa Economic Development Authority and Iowa Finance Authority. So she’ll be coming and talking to us about some of the programs statewide to help with things like workforce and housing and some of those items we know have come up in conversations with our businesses and communities here as well.”
