The Spencer Jaycees are back with their Halloween fundraiser, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Spencer Jaycees are once again holding their Nightmare at the Fair for the Halloween season.
Craig Neiderheiser says, this year’s theme will be Haunted Asylum, and notes that the event will take place on the Clay County Fairgrounds.
“We’re at the Tower Gate Pavilion, so if you’re not aware of what that is, that is the furthest east building on the Clay County Fairgrounds.”
He adds that the cost is reduced if participants bring non-perishable food items. “That’s our favorite part. We usually end up bringing a truck load over to Upper Des Moines of canned goods, or non-perishables. So if you want to just get in $15. If you want to bring a couple cans with you, we’ll take that down to $10 for getting in.”
Nightmare at the Fair will be held this Friday and Saturday and October 29th and 30th from 7 to midnight as well as on Halloween from 7 to 10 pm.
