Kossuth/Palo Alto County 2021 Economic Impact Report Released

October 07, 2021 Steve Schwaller

(Algona)– The Kossuth/Palo Alto County Economic Development Corporation says its 2021 Economic Snapshot is completed. Executive Director Maureen Elbert says 183 businesses in the two counties participated, with additional information from visits with major employers, hospitals, Iowa Lakes Community College, Wild Rose Casino, USDA and ag-related businesses. Elbert says it contains information such as average wages, mean commute time, workforce, healthcare, and renewable fuels. She says a portion of the report is dedicated entirely to the economic impact of agriculture on Kossuth and Palo Alto counties.

Elbert says the report will be used to identify growth in local companies; forecast economic development; generate facts to support business attraction marketing alternatives and to provide information for prospects, utility partners, state and county officials and area businesses that request data.
