(Spencer)– It was announced today (Thurs.) Dan Gifford will begin his new job as Spencer City Manager on November 1st. A welcome open house for Gifford will be held that evening from 5:30 until 6:30 pm in the council chambers at Spencer City Hall.
Gifford is originally from Bode, Iowa where he and his wife Kathy have family. He previously served as City Administrator in West Burlington and prior to that was City Administrator in Holstein. He also has experience as a Planning Administrator, a position he held previously with the city of Fairfield, Iowa.
