A unique fundraiser is on tap for the Clay County Heritage Center on Saturday, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Clay County Heritage will hold An Evening with Teddy Roosevelt on October 9.
Executive Director Shelby Nelsen says the event will feature nationally known reprisor, Joe Wiegand, who will bring the legendary President to life. “So, we are bringing Joe Wiegand, who is a nationally known Theodore Roosevelt impersonator, and so he will be doing a show as Teddy Roosevelt. It’s very interactive, so it changes from audience to audience.”
She adds that VIP and general admission tickets are available. “For the regular show, general public tickets are $30. If you’re a member of Clay County Heritage, they’re $25, and if you’re a student under the age of 18, they’re $10. We have a VIP meet and greet that will start at 5:30 before the show. That will give you a chance to take pictures with Joe as Teddy and meet him. It’s also a cocktail hour.”
