Spencer Community Theatre to kick of 62nd Season with Dracula October 1

September 30, 2021 Steve Schwaller

A new production opens at Spencer Community Theatre this weekend, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:

Spencer Community Theatre will kick off their 62nd Mainstage Season with a production of Dracula.

Executive Artistic Director Liz McNea says, the set is quite elaborate. “This set is probably my favorite set we’ve ever built. It has a lot of really interesting elements to it that I don’t want to ruin for you, but that aren’t what they seem to be, and it’s also just super elaborate, so I’m really excited about this production.”

She adds that the play will be performed over the next two weekends. “October 1st, 2nd & 3rd and then 8th ,9th & 10th, and on the 3rd and the 10th, those are matinees, so those are 2 pm. The other times, 7:30 is curtain. Tickets are still available. You can contact the box office, you can go online to get those tickets.”
