(Terril)– Firefighters from multiple departments spent several hours today (Thursday) battling a hay bale fire southwest of Terril.
The Terril Fire Department was initially called to the scene at 2840 290th Street in Clay county. A report from the scene estimated some 25 to 30 hay bales were on fire. Units from the Dickens, Fostoria and Milford Fire Departments were then called for mutual aid, and some special equipment was brought in to move and break up the bales.
There was no immediate word on how the fire may have started.
