(Spencer)– A local school district is clarifying its current policy when it comes to COVID-19.
In an email to district patrons Friday, Spencer Superintendent Terry Heman stated that he wants to clear up some misinformation. Heman says the district is NOT requiring masks or vaccinations this school year. He says those decisions are “currently in the hands of our families and employees.” Heman says unless legally bound to enforce mask or vaccination requirements, the Spencer Community School District will leave those decisions to families and employees.
Heman adds they are happy to have school in session and that students are working hard in their classrooms and are participating with their peers in school activities.
