Emmet County Authorities Release Details Into Several Unrelated Arrests Recently

(Estherville)– The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office has released information into several recent arrests in that county.

Authorities say a traffic stop in the early morning of September 12th on a vehicle being driven erratically led to the arrest of 36-year-old Genaro Juarez who was charged with operating while under the influence, operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, failure to provide proof of financial liability and forgery, related to a forged Social Security card and a government identification card. Juarez was being held on a $7,500 cash or surety bond.

In an unrelated case, the Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says a traffic September 16th on Highway 15 resulted in the arrest of 28-year-old Casey Metz of Emmetsburg. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An in another case on September 16th, an Estherville man was arrested after being pulled over. The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says 28-year-old Braulio Hernandez was driving a vehicle in the 500 block of West North 6th Street in Estherville. Authorities say Hernandez attempted to walk away from the deputy after being pulled over, and that the deputy saw him throw something toward a nearby house. Hernandez was arrested and charged with driving with a barred license. The two small bags Hernandez allegedly threw were located. It was discovered that one allegedly contained methamphetamine and another marijuana. A K-9 was deployed on the vehicle, resulting in authorities finding some drug paraphernalia. Hernandez was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance…3rd offense…methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance…3rd offense…marijuana, driving with a barred license and possession of drug paraphernalia.
