(Okoboji)-The Pearson Lakes Art Center is holding their Celebrate the Arts event in early June, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Pearson Lakes Art Center will hold their Celebrate the Arts fundraiser on Saturday, June 5, starting at 6 pm.
Executive Director Bob Kirshbaum says the event will have a Garden Party theme. “First of all, it’s kind of the welcome event to summer, it’s the first big event of the summer. This year is really going to be a fun, safe event. It’s going to be an inside/outside event. Inside, we’ll have the art on display that’s going to be on the silent auction, along with some entertainment inside, and then outside, we will have a couple bars set up, we will have heavy hors d’oeuvres, Dave & Ryan will be performing outside. It’s just going to be a fun, great evening, and then, topping it off with the live auction, and we have some great auction items. So, it will be a fun event to come and attend. People are just anxious to get outside again so, we’re looking for a huge turnout and a fabulous event.”
An online auction is underway, with items on display at the Art Center and online. Bidding will end on the evening of the event.
