(Okoboji)-The Pearson Lakes Art Center Speaker Series is about to get underway, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Pearson Lakes Art Center will kick off their Speaker Series on Thursday evening.
Performing Arts Director Rachelle Fratzke says, the first talk will focus on Arnolds Park Amusement Park. “We’re starting it off with, our speaker is Jeff Vierkant and Friends from the Arnolds Park Amusement Park. They’re going to be here to share details on how Arnolds Park survived a year of covid and some of the tidbit and history of The Park, and a few future plans, and especially a story regarding the Lady of the Lake, or as we know it, the Queen. So, that should be an interesting talk.”
She adds that the talk is free and open to the public. “It will be more than an hour. Masks will be recommended, and it starts at 7:30.”
The Speaker Series will run once a month throughout the summer.
