(Spencer)– A collision Saturday involving a van and a motorcycle claimed the life of a Spencer man.
The Iowa State Patrol says 28-year-old Michelle Schuck of Sheldon was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Town and Country van. Troopers say Schuck was pulling onto Highway 71 from 13th Street Southwest and was turning to go northbound when she pulled into the path of a motorcycle driven by 31-year-old Alex Leewright of Spencer.
Leewright was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Spencer Police Department assisted on the scene.
The collision took place shortly after 3:30 pm Saturday.
