O’Brien County Crash Seriously Injures Mankato, Minnesota Man

May 11, 2021

(Sheldon)– A Mankato, Minnesota man was seriously injured in a single vehicle crash Sunday in O’Brien county.

The O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office says 20-year-old Colin Davis was driving a 2007 Toyota Camry southbound on Nettle Avenue when he crossed the center line and drove on the opposite shoulder. Authorities say Davis then over-corrected, causing the vehicle to go into the west ditch where it rolled three times before coming to rest in a recently planted corn field.

Davis was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital; the vehicle was totaled.

Davis was cited for failure to maintain control.

The crash took place a little after 7:00 am.
