Traffic Stop And Search Leads To Meth Charges Against Spencer Woman

May 10, 2021

(Spencer)– A traffic stop Friday in the 10 block of West 10th Street in Spencer resulted in the arrest of a Spencer woman on drug charges.

Spencer Police say officers found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. 48-year-old Michelle Snyder was arrested and charged with failure to affix a drug tax stamp, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Clay county jail.

Officers later that day obtained and executed a search warrant at 816 6th Avenue West in Spencer as part of their investigation. That resulted in an additional count of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia being filed against Snyder.
