(Okoboji)-It’s the music of The Carpenters at the Pearson Lakes Art Center on Wednesday, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Pearson Lakes Art Center will present Carpenters Once More at 7:30 Wednesday evening at the Lauridsen Performing Arts Theatre.
Executive Director Bob Kirschbaum says the show will feature vocalist Diana Lynn. “She is just outstanding and many of you may remember a few years ago, her husband was Neil Diamond, and we sold every seat in the house out for that show, and that night we saw a glimpse of her. She came out and did a couple songs that night. Well, the roles are reversed. She’s the lead this time as Karen Carpenter, and he’s Richard Carpenter, so, it’s a great duo and it should be an exciting night.”
He notes that it’s a good time to purchase a membership to the Art Center. “An advantage of being a member, you get the first information about all the shows coming up.
