(Arnolds Park)-The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present a special Rock the Roof Concert on Thursday night, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present Rock the Roof featuring Denny & The DC Drifters Thursday evening at the Roof Garden Ballroom.
Executive Director Clay Norris says, the event will have a spring prom theme. “It’s going to be so much fun, I think. Denny and I have been talking about this for awhile, and you know, it’s prom season, so Denny is going to put together songs from the mid 1960s. We’re going to have a dance contest, there’s an opportunity to get pictures taken by a nice background and then also, they’re going to do a King and Queen, so it’ll be a lot of fun. Come dressed up if you like.”
The doors will open at 5, with the show at 6 on Thursday evening.
He notes that season passes are now available. “For $100, you can buy a season pass. It’s a punch card, and there are 12 punches on it. A typical ticket cost for our events is $10, so this is good for any $10 based priced show, so you get 12 shows for the price of 10. They’re good for any of the Rock the Roof shows, some of our other shows that they’re good for, and we will be doing some things in the fall and even early next year, so this card is good through May of 2022.”
