Final Preparations Are Underway For Flagfest In Spencer June 11th-13th

(Spencer)– An annual celebration in Spencer is returning this year after being called off in 2020 due to COVID-19. Flagfest is now just a little more than a month away. It will be held June 11th-13^th. Sheriffa Jones of the Spencer Chamber of Commerce says while most of the events are finalized, they could definitely use some volunteers to help out with them…Sheriffa Jones04 

“There’s a lot of opportunities where you can still participate but also, you know, take a couple hours to help out with certain things, so that’s available on our Facebook page. You can also call the Chamber. Several opportunities in different events for people to help out. Anything from horse and buggy rides to the firefighter water fights.”

Jones says the deadline for entries for this year’s Flagfest Parade is May 14^th. She says they’ll be holding steadfast to that.

Jones updated the Spencer City Council on the preparations at their meeting earlier this week.
