(Estherville)– Meeting in special session Monday, the Estherville City Council approved an amended development agreement with the developer of Deer Creek Apartments.
City Administrator Penny Clayton told the council it stems from a fuel tank that at one time was buried on the site. She says the tank has since been removed…
“Now they received from the DNR a letter of no further action required and that’s fine for most things, however with the installation of water mains they expect additional cautionary measures be taken, and that includes using a different style of pipe and fittings.”
Clayton says the upgraded piping will result in an additional cost to the city of $14,800.
