Traffic Stop Lands Man In Jail On Drug And Other Charges

(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office has released details into a traffic stop this past Saturday that resulted in the arrest of a Spencer man.

Authorities say a deputy pulled over a vehicle around 4:30 pm in the 2800 mile of 130th Avenue that was being driven by someone who’s license had been suspended. The driver, 30-year-old Joshua Currier, was arrested.

In the process of making the arrest deputies reported finding THC oil. Authorities obtained and executed a search warrant on the vehicle involving the department’s K-9 unit. They found an additional quantity of the drug in the vehicle. 

Currier was charged with possession of a controlled substance…3rd or subsequent offense, failure to display a registration plate, no insurance and driving under suspension.
