(Spirit Lake)-Registration is getting underway for summer camps and more with the ISU Extension, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Dickinson County ISU Extension & Outreach has a number of offerings for youth in the coming months, including STEM Fest which will be held at the end of April.
Office Assistant Amy Benge explains. “So, registration is now open for STEM Fest. It will be held Saturday, April 24th from 9 am to 3 pm at the Iowa Lakeside Lab. It’s a day of science, technology, engineering, math and creative arts. The cost is $5 per youth, and the ages for that are 4th through 8th grade. So, they can go online and register. It can be found on our website, and it’s open to the first 48 registrants.”
She adds that the Extension’s Summer Fun Guide is out, and registration for camps will get underway on Monday. “Our Summer Fun Guide is out, and it is available for kids that are Pre-K through 8th grade, and our registration for those camps, that opens Monday, April 5th at 8 am. It includes many different areas of interest. There’s fishing, drones, bakery, bots, gardening, sewing, constellations and much more. Camps are limited, so people will want to register early for that.”
