(Lakefield, Mn.)– Local ag professionals say the rain we’ve received over the past couple of days will be very helpful in replenishing subsoil moisture. Jim Nesseth of Extended Ag Services of Lakefield says it couldn’t come at a better time…
“It’s sweet, you know. I think kind of the reports I’ve heard so far is around, you know, half to three quarters of an inch. Maybe we’ll get some more out of that, but boy it’s really great. It’s all soaking in and I think it’s driving a lot of that frost out of the ground that we’ve got left and so it’s good news and we certainly could use some more and this is a great time to have it.”
The total here at the KUOO studios for the past couple of days stands at 85 one hundredths of an inch.
Some additional rain is in the forecast late Friday into Saturday.
