(Arnolds Park)-The Winner of American Idol Season 16, Maddie Poppe, will be returning to the Iowa Great Lakes this summer, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association has announced that American Idol Winner Maddie Poppe will be returning to the Iowa Great Lakes on July 2nd.
Executive Director Clay Norris explains. “We are just thrilled. We reached out to her, she had a great show on December the 15th, it was just fantastic. She has such a good rapport with the audience and she is a humble Iowa girl that’s made it big. I asked for a quote, because she was here before, and I knew she liked playing here, she had said so, but her quote was that the Christmas Show in Arnolds Park was one of the most fun shows she’s ever played.”
He notes that tickets will go on sale March 26, and adds that he hopes the audience capacity can be expanded. “The show is going to be right in the midst of our big weekend. It’s going to be Friday evening, July 2nd at 7:30 pm in the Roof Garden, and we’re actually going to put the tickets on sale starting on Friday, the 26th of March at 10 am, and we’re hopeful that we can definitely expand it beyond where it is right now, probably more in the 500 to, maybe more than that range. It all depends, because it is a little ways out, and we’re going to hope for the best.”
