(Spirit Lake)-The Spirit Lake Music Boosters are holding a new fundraiser, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Spirit Lake Music Boosters are holding a spring fundraiser to help music students in the Spirit Lake schools.
Club President Barb Fuelberth explains. “Because of COVID, we were unable to host our annual Show Choir and Jazz Choir Competition, which is usually one of our major fundraisers. We also haven’t been able to have the concerts in the same fashion that we normally have, and we also bring a little bit of revenue that way. So, we are scrambling a little bit to try to keep the same experiences for the kids and make those possible with limited fundraising opportunities.”
She notes that the Club is offering Easter cookies kits for sale. “Mindy’s Creative Cakes has offered to help us do a fundraiser. We’re selling her sugar cookie kits for Easter. She says they’re a lot of fun. It’s 24 cookies and frosting, and when you’re gathering with your family or just need a fun activity over the long weekend, you can decorate the cookies, and they’re delicious, too.”
She adds that there are a couple of ways to place an order. “They can contact Spirit Lake Music Boosters through our facebook page, or they can call out to Mindy’s Creative Cakes.”
The deadline to order is March 26.
