(Arnolds Park)-There will be an Irish Theme to the Rock the Roof Concert on Thursday night, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association will present Rock the Roof featuring Rock a La Carte on Thursday evening.
Executive Director Clay Norris says the show will have a St. Patty’s Day theme. ““Rock the Roof is starting again, and we have Rock a La Carte. They are a very flexible band, that’s what I like so much about them. They have a very wide repertoire of music, and they are performing some 50s and 60s songs, and they actually researched and found a few songs that are Irish. So, it ought to be really fun.”
He notes that seating is limited for the concert. “We are limiting seating to around 300 like we have the last several concerts. We’re putting chairs together in fours tonight. You can dance with your mask on, you can move about with your mask on. When you’re seated you may take it off. We’re very hopeful that by the summertime concerts we may be open it up a little bit more, but we really want to lean toward the side of being cautious, so that we can protect everybody and all continue to have a good time.”
