(Spirit Lake)– Some additional informational meetings on the farm bill will be held in the area this week. Gary Wright of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach says they’ll be held Tuesday at 9:30 am in the Community Room at the Dickinson County Fairgrounds, and Thursday at 9:30 am at Grace United Methodist Church in Spencer…
“We’ll actually spend about an hour, maybe an hour and-a-half, to get a little Q and A. We’re going to talk first about prices, the outlook for prices, we’re going to talk a little about decision tool that lets them make a decision based on what their yield and price expectations are, and then we’ll finish up with just a little bit of a view on crop insurance and kind of relate that to that topic as well.”
The meetings are free, however registration is required…
“They can always call me, and I can give you that number: 712-223-1574, but if they want to just go directly to the county where that’s hosting the meeting, that’s probably the easiest and best way.”
The sessions last about an hour and are also available through a virtual platform that can be found at the Iowa State University Extension and Outreach website.
