(Primghar)– Officials in O’Brien county say they conducted a large scale dog rescue back on January 13th after a resident passed away.
Sheriff Bruce Devereaux says deputies and representatives of Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue of Sioux City, responded to an acreage in O’Brien county. Devereaux says nine of the 39 dogs on the site had to be put down because of their very poor conditions. Seven more of the dogs had already died when authorities arrived.
Devereaux says volunteers with Noah’s Hope were able to humanely catch 23 remaining dogs, several of which were puppies. They were taken to the organization’s shelter.
Devereaux says they greatly appreciate the assistance from Noah’s Hope Animal Rescue and their volunteers. More information about the organization can be found at noahshopeanimalrescue.com or by visiting their Facebook page.
