(Okoboji)– Members of the region’s law enforcement community and others paid their final respects today (Mon.) to DNR Conservation Officer Steve Reighard, who passed away January 8th due to COVID-19.
A lengthy procession of law enforcement and other vehicles made its way between Estherville and Okoboji this (Mon.) morning. A large American flag erected by area firefighters could be seen flying just west of the intersection of Highway 71 and Sanborn Avenue as the procession passed beneath. There was another procession back to Estherville following the service.
Reighard, who served Dickinson county, was appointed Park Ranger at Gull Point State Park in 2005. He went to work in the DNR’s law enforcement division in 2012. Reighard is being remembered for his hard work and dedication serving in those capacities.
