(Spencer)– A locally based bank is making a big change to its online presence.
Northwest Bank has announced it will be moving to a new web address and domain later this month. Bank officials say effective January 26th, they’ll be moving from Bank-Northwest.com to NW.bank.
They say the new dot-bank domain is highly gated and much more secure, adding it will play a significant role in combatting online scams and duplicate websites.
There is a stringent verification process for financial institutions when applying for a dot-bank domain involving ongoing verification.
