(Lakefield, Mn.)– One person was injured Saturday when a semi jackknifed on Interstate 90 just west of Highway 86 in Jackson county.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 27-year-old Brandon King of Bay City, Wisconsin was driving the 2019 Freightliner eastbound when it jackknifed and went into the median.

A passenger in the rig’s sleeper, 26-year-old Rebecca Nichols of Bay City, Wisconsin, was taken to Sanford Jackson Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Officials say the road was ice and snow covered at the time of the crash, which took place a little after 10:30 am.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Lakefield Fire and Ambulance assisted on the scene.
