(Milford)– Two members of the Okoboji High School Debate team are state champions.
Haley Harms and Lexi Duffy entered Saturday’s elimination rounds as a number two seed after going 5-0 in the preliminary rounds. They finished the tournament 8-0.
Okoboji High School debators brought home some other honors as well. All-State Speaker Awards in the Galligan Division went to Haley Harms who was 5th; Chayse Packebush and Lexi Duffy who placed in a 3-way tie for 6th; and Connor Cunningham who tied for 9th.
Congress placements in the A House went to Sydni Powell who was in 11th place and Mattie Evenson who was in 12th place.
Joey Batman placed 7th in the B House.
Austin Kasch and Sam Hoggard also competed for Okoboji.
