(Spirit Lake)– Some upgrades are being planned for the Dickinson County Emergency Operations Center. The Board of Supervisors Tuesday approved a request from Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Ehret to earmark $8,000 in CARES funds for the county’s half of $16,000 in matching funds from an Emergency Planning Performance Grant that’s been awarded for the project…
“In talking with the Emergency Management Commission, they are good with doing some enhancements in my office for the EOC. We were awarded $8,000 so it would be a $16,000 project total. We’re looking to replace and older tv and a projector with some large display tv’s similar to these in here; some new tables that will create potentially seven work spaces when we don’t have to do the social distancing thing any more, and that does replace a desk that came from the old courthouse that’s still down there, some new computers, and some chairs if funds allow. That’s kind of at the bottom of the list.”
Ehret said the Emergency Management Commission will officially act on the matter at their next meeting, January 5th, 2021.
