(Arnolds Park)-American Idol winner Maddie Poppe will perform at the Roof Garden Ballroom on Tuesday night, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Roof Garden Ballroom and The Iowa Rock ‘n Roll Music Association are presenting Maddie Poppe’s Acoustic Christmas on Tuesday evening.
The native Iowan and American Idol Season 16 winner says, she’s doing several acoustic shows across the state. “I have about nine shows in Iowa, which is really cool, it’s just cool to be back home and playing. I think some shows are doing live streams, but it’s all just live performances. So, that’s been a lot of fun to get back into that world because it’s been such a long time since anybody’s been able to play live.”
Poppe has just released the EP, Christmas From Home, and says she hopes to release original material next year. “I want to release new music, you know, my own music, and so hopefully I can do that this next year. I’m really hoping I can, that’s what’s next for me.”
The concert will begin at 7 o’clock Tuesday evening.
