(Des Moines)– The number of Iowans hospitalized with COVID-19 continues to drop. In their latest report, public health officials say that number had dropped to 898 as of 10:00 am this (Mon.) morning, down from 918 reported Sunday. 200 were hospitalized in intensive care units with 120 on ventilators.
35 additional deaths related to the virus were reported this (Mon.) morning in Iowa, with the state’s death toll now at 2,717.
913 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed over the past day.
Iowa’s 14-day positivity rate had dropped slightly, to 16.4 percent, down from 16.5 percent on Sunday. Every county in the area has a positivity rate of greater than 15 percent, with the exception of Palo Alto county, which was at 14.3 percent.
In Dickinson county, six new cases were reported as of this (Mon.) morning. The county’s death toll remains at 12.
