(Sibley)– An investigation is underway after a Sibley-Ocheyedan High School student was found in possession of a weapon.
Superintendent James Craig says reports had been shared with the High School Principal that a student had brought a weapon to school today (Thursday). He says the High School and Middle School were both put on lock down in accordance with protocol. Craig says a search was conducted and it was confirmed a student was in possession of a weapon. An Osceola County Sheriff’s deputy arrived and Craig says the student was removed without incident. Craig says the all-clear was then given and students and staff were allowed to resume their day.
He says no other information into the incident is being released as of now.
