December 03, 2020

(Des Moines)– A newly elected State Representative from northwest Iowa will serve as Vice Chair of a legislative committee. Dennis Bush of Cleghorn has been named Vice Chair of the Iowa House Agriculture and Natural Resources Appropriations Subcommittee for the upcoming legislative session, which gets underway January 11th, 2021.

Bush, who will represent House District 3, won a three-way Republican primary in June, defeating Lynn Evans of Aurelia and Mark McHugh of Sheldon. Bush will preside over the seat previously held by Dan Huseman, who didn’t seek another term.

Iowa House District 3 is comprised of Cherokee and O’Brien counties along with portions of Sioux and Plymouth counties.
