(Des Moines)– The state of Iowa today is reporting 3,860 new, confirmed cases of COVID-19 for the previous 24 hours ending at 10:00 am this (Tues.) morning with 19 additional deaths. It brings the state’s death toll to 2,224.
The number of hospitalizations over the past 24 hours increased from 1,333 Monday to 1,351 today (Tues.). Of those, 273 were in intensive care units with 135 on ventilators.
Locally, Clay county was among those in the area reporting the largest number of increases in cases from the past day, with 34. Dickinson county reported 18 new cases.
