(Cedar Rapids)– Several area nonprofits have been awarded funding through the Alliant Energy Foundation.
The Armstrong Benefited Fire District will receive $1,000 for protective gear; Grand Avenue Community Outreach in Spencer was awarded $2,000 for it’s Clay County Hunger Mitigation program; George Community Day Care will receive $1,000 for a playground project; $1,000 was awarded to the Centers Against Abuse and Sexual Assault in Spirit Lake; and Discovery House in Spirit Lake will receive $2,000.
A total of 14 nonprofit organizations were awarded more than $20,000 in funding through the foundation.
