(Ashton)– Firefighters from Ashton, Sheldon and Sibley battled a fire Thursday in a grain dryer at Poet Bio Refining just south of Ashton.
Ashton Fire Chief Andy Gacke says the fire was located in the upper portion of the dryer upon their arrival, making it a challenge to get to. He says upon coordinating the three departments were able to get it quickly extinguished.
No injuries were reported.
Moderate damage was reported to the dryer, however it’s contents were a total loss.
