Minor Injuries Reported After Vehicle Goes Airborne And Lands In A Pond

October 30, 2020

(George)– Minor injuries were reported Thursday in a single vehicle crash near George.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says Robert Lopau of George was driving a 2000 Ford Explorer in the 3800 block of 230th Street when he lost control. The vehicle left the road and traveled through a ditch about a quarter of a mile. Authorities say the vehicle became airborne and rolled one full rotation before coming to rest in a pond.

The vehicle was totaled.
