(Primghar)– Add O’Brien county to the list of counties in northwest Iowa that have banned open burning until further notice. The measure went into affect at 5:00 pm Wednesday.
The ban was issued by the State Fire Marshal at the request of the county’s fire chiefs.
A combination of recent warm temperatures, lack of rainfall and dead vegetation have combined for a very high fire danger throughout the region.
