(Spencer)– Charges have been filed against a Primghar man in connection with a pursuit last week in Clay county.
The Sheriff’s Office says a deputy Thursday evening tried to pull over a vehicle for a traffic offense on County Road B40 near Royal, but the driver refused to stop, leading officers on a pursuit. Authorities say it ended after the driver failed to negotiate a turn at 100th Avenue and County Road B40, where the vehicle went into a ditch.
32-year-old Jeremiah Bottjen was taken into custody on charges of operating while intoxicated…2nd offense, eluding, reckless driving and several other traffic offenses. Authorities say Bottjen was also arrested on two drug-related warrants from Arizona totaling $15,000 cash bond.
He was booked into the Clay county jail.
