(Milford)– A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Okoboji Middle School will be held Wednesday, October 7th with a program at 5:00 pm with a ribbon cutting and tours of the 83,000 square foot building at 5:30 pm.
The new facility features common areas with unique design aesthetics with the ability to see across the space from all viewpoints. There is a 2 court gym, a concessions stand, a walk-through cafeteria with state-of-the art commercial kitchen including commercial refrigerator/freezer storage, soundproof practice rooms for band and choir, instrument storage, floor to ceiling whiteboards in the classrooms, ergonomic furniture, a special education sensory room, ample visitor parking, dedicated parent drop off and pick up areas and a dedicated bus lane for pick-up and drop-off.
