(Spencer)– A longtime trustee on the Spencer Hospital Board of Directors is stepping down.
Neal Conover announced during today’s (Thurs.) meeting he’s retiring after 25 years of service as a trustee.
In a statement, Conover stated that he’s enjoyed his years of service to the community by serving on the board. He added that he’s pleased to have had the opportunity to work with those who were devoted to the hospital’s success throughout the years, adding that his business experience helped provide some clarity in times where some challenging decisions had to be made.
Spencer Hospital President Bill Bumgarner thanked Conover for his service, adding his business experience has been valuable to hospital leaders and fellow board members throughout many decision-making processes.
The board voted to accept Conover’s resignation and approved the appointment of Amanda Bare, who has served previously as an advisory member, to fill the seat. They also voted to appoint Conover as an advisory member.
