(Spirit Lake)– It’s homecoming week this week at Spirit Lake High School. Gracie Hamm, a Junior at Spirit Lake High School and student council member, says one of the highlights will be the parade, which will still be held Friday but with some modifications…
“We have some extra rules that are different this year like no passing out candy or anything, but it will still be fun. I hope to see a lot of people out there. It starts at 2:30. It goes for usually about an hour.”
Businesses and organizations wishing to be in the parade should contact Gracie at 712-330-0814 by this Wednesday to get signed up.
Another big highlight of the week will coronation, which will begin at 1:00 pm Friday at Hafer Field, along with several other activities that will be going on that morning…
“High school pep rally, assemblies and spirit games start at 10:00 and the girls will have powder puff football, which is new. We haven’t had it for a few years, so that’s really exciting. All kinds of spirit games we are playing, I can’t even remember all of them.”
The week will culminate Friday night with the big homecoming game, featuring the Spirit Lake Indians taking on the Okoboji Pioneers.
