(Spirit Lake)– Expect to see an increased presence of law enforcement officers on Highways 9 & 71 through Spirit Lake this coming Friday evening.
Spirit Lake police say they’ll be conducting a Special Traffic Enforcement Program, known as STEP, from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm.
The operation will be focused on speeding, distracted and impaired driving, and seatbelt use.
The STEP program provides funding to law enforcement agencies throughout Iowa.
