(Estherville)– A project to construct a new swimming pool in Estherville has been awarded a $250,000 Community Attraction and Tourism, or CAT Grant.
The project has a total cost of a little more than $5.1 million. It consists of a 7,112 square foot pool with zero depth entry, play and spray features, a water walk, climbing wall, one meter diving tower, an enclosed water slide, six 25-meter swim lanes and shade structures.
The Estherville award was announced Friday by the Enhance Iowa Board. It was among $3.7 million awarded to various projects in 12 different communities.
