Clay County Fair Officials Offering Some Additional Opportunities To Get Your “Fair Fix”, Including “Fair In A Box”

August 21, 2020

(Spencer)– Officials with the Clay County Fair are providing a rather unique substitute for this year’s event. For $150, you can get this year’s fair in a box…literally. It comes complete with an “Un-Fair” 2020 T-shirt, a commemorative pin, a Clay County Fair bandana, a “taste” of some Fair food staples and a Centennial Cookbook, a Clay County Fair scented candle, a special Ginsu knife, a 2020 Un-Fair ribbon, a Sights and Sounds DVD, and more. The boxes can be ordered now through September 4th at claycountyfair.com, by calling the Clay County Fair office at 712-580-3000 or in person at the Fair and Events Center Administrative office. Boxes will be available for pickup on designated dates.

Fair officials have also announced IMCA auto racing will be held September 15th and 16th at the Clay County Speedway and that there will be two additional Non-Profit Take Out Tuesdays August 25th featuring Hy-Noon Kiwanis and September 1st featuring the Spencer Jaycees. Additional Fair Food To Go events are scheduled for Saturday, September 11th and September 19th. A new food item for the 2021 fair, bourbon chicken, will be among the offerings.
