(Des Moines)– The Natural Resource Commission of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources will officially consider naming the State Pier at Arnolds Park in memory of Berkley Bedell at their meeting next week. If approved, it would become known as “The Berkley Bedell State Pier.”
A renovation of the pier by Imagine Iowa Great Lakes was recently completed and a ribbon cutting is tentatively scheduled for Labor Day weekend.
The DNR’s Natural Resource Commission will meet via teleconference at 8:30 am Thursday, August 13th.
