(Okoboji)-The Celebrate the Arts Fundraiser at the Pearson Lakes Art Center will be held in-person and online this year. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Pearson Lakes art Center will celebrate its 55th Anniversary with their annual fundraiser, Celebrate the Arts, on Sunday evening.
Executive Director Bob Kirschbaum says, the event will be held in person and online. “We definitely have a hybrid this year. We felt we needed to do something for our donors and supporters and so we are doing a live event from 7-9 on Sunday, August 9th. It’ll be outside so we can spread out on our beautiful campus so everybody can be safe. It’s going to be a fun event, we’re going to have entertainment and beverages and some desserts and there will be a live auction at 8:30 that evening.”
He notes that auction items may be viewed online. “We do have a silent auction, and that’s totally done virtually. I would recommend that everybody just goes to our website and then click on the link there to get to the virtual part of it, and all of the art items will be on that link so you can start bidding today.”
