(Estherville)– An Estherville man charged in the theft of funds from the Estherville-Lincoln Central Booster Club has been sentenced in Emmet County District Court.
54-year-old Timothy Loock received a suspended 10 year prison sentence. He was placed on probation for three years and was ordered to pay nearly $28,000 in restitution.
Loock pleaded guilty previously to 1st degree theft. Other charges of ongoing criminal conduct, fraudulent practice and tampering with records were dismissed as part of a plea deal.
Loock was accused of misappropriating more than $29,000 while serving as the E-L-C Booster Club’s Treasurer. He was removed from the position in November, 2018 after it was discovered the funds were missing.
